Troubleshooting

In the unlikely case of difficulties when using SubtitleNEXT , we have put together a short list of problems you might encounter. Please, read this chapter prior to contacting our support team:

Import & Export commands are exporting just 20 subtitles, not the entire file
1.     Your bundle does not allow this. Please, purchase an appropriate SubtitleNEXT bundle.
2.     SubtitleNEXT is running in demo mode. Please, download and install the full version from our website.
Save & Save As commands are not functioning

The software crashes when using Media File as transport
There are certain video codecs , which may cause system stability problems. However, most of the tested common behave O.K. with SubtitleNEXT playback.
LTC timecode (wave) input is not working at all (no timecode is shown on the Timecode Display )
Make sure the LTC Out of the source transport device is connected to the input of the sound board correctly. Since LTC is a mono signal, it is necessary to make sure it is connected to the left input of the sound card, or to adjust which input will be used in the LTC reader setup.
LTC timecode (wave) input is not working correctly (timecode is not running smoothly)
Make sure your PC complies with the Minimum System Requirements for running wave-in LTC reader. Also, make sure the LTC signal is strong enough, at least –12 dB.
LTC reader option  is not available
Make sure you have purchased a bundle, which enables it.
Video Overlay option is not available
Make sure you have purchased a bundle, which enables it.
Media File option is not available
Make sure you have purchased a bundle, which enables it.
It is not possible to select my output hardware in Preferences > Display
Make sure you have purchased a bundle, which enables it.
No subtitles are shown at the output frame buffer
Make sure you have a supported frame buffer installed correctly and you have selected it in Preferences > Display .
Make sure you have installed the appropriate module for your frame buffer hardware (it should be a .DLL file in your SubtitleNEXT folder.
Make sure Display | On Air is checked.
No video is shown when Media File transport is used
Make sure you are using the latest version of DirectX
released.
Make sure your VGA adapter and its drivers support video overlay.
A large SubtitleNEXT logo is displayed on my output
Make sure you have purchased a bundle, which enables subtitle burn-in. Otherwise, the logo will be displayed, in order to prevent you from using it for production.
